Un Festival per a llibre-objecte, llibre d’exemplar únic, amb tiratges limitats, que siguin inèdits.

A Festival for object-books, only-one-of-a-kind books, editions of ten never presented before.

Books handpress & handmade (no digital works). Books speaking about real or imaginary darkness.

El Blackout (l’apagada) és una provocació, en temps de la digitalització i dels e-book, per a subratllar la importància de la idea i del projecte abans de la producció. Blackout parla de la llibertat que ofereix el mitjà artístic i dóna noves vies d’investigació a l’entorn de fer llibres.

The Blackout is a provocation in the age of digitalization and eBooks to underline the importance of the idea and the project before the production. Blackout book speaks about the freedom given by the artistic media and offers new investigation points about the making books.

Com cada any, el Festival del Llibre d’artista proposa un tema de tipus conceptual o tècnic per tal que els autors presentin una obra inèdita. L’Associació ILDE les mostra al públic contribuint així a la difusió i al col·leccionisme del llibre d’artista. Part dels treballs que es presenten formen part del “llibre d’artista” -il.lustrat i coordinat per Elisa Pellacani- on entren en diàleg autors d’arreu del món.

As every year, since 2008, the Artist Book Festival proposes a theme, of conceptual or technical kind, so authors can propose a new work. ILDE Association shows them to the public contributing in this way to the diffusion and the collections of the artist’s book. Part of the works presented are in the “libro de artista” ilustrated and coordinated by Elisa Pellacani, for a dialogue between worldwide’s authors.
